“All of our dream can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”

-Walt Disney

Hi, I’m Joey! I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I started photography during my junior year of high school bringing me to over 9 years of professional photography experience. At first, my favorite subject to photograph was landscapes. I loved seeing the raw beauty of nature that seemed almost untouched by the world. For the few hours that I adventured out to forest preserves I embraced the peace and quiet. I later transitioned and found the courage to take portraiture. This led to me to slowly incorporate a more human experience in my photographs. It wasn’t until I photographed my first wedding where I realized that capturing people during one of the most significant days of their lives was what I had been missing. I have fallen in love with photographing weddings and becoming a small part of such a monumental day in a couple’s life.

Growing up, my parents instilled in my sister and I the core value of never settling for less. I understood that if I put my mind to it, I could live a life without limitations. To me this meant experiencing life to the fullest, having adventures and being happy. But a life of adventure does not come easy, especially when reality sets in.

When asked what I wanted to do when I grew up, I had a few choices in mind. I first wanted to be a history teacher, because I love the subject and I loved working with kids. That dream changed when the pandemic hit. I was concerned about job security, so the best option I saw was, Cyber Security. I know, a bit out of the photography realm, but it seemed to be the safest and most secure choice at the time. After working at a call center for over a year and a half, where I was constantly behind a computer, I knew that this was not the job for me.

After years of turning down the idea of being a photographer full time, with the huge support of my girlfriend Hannah (assistant to the regional manager), as well as my family and friends. I finally with all fears and risks in hand made the decision to pick up my camera and become what I was meant to be.

Within my first 2 years I have already capture around 60 weddings, and I take pride in every photo that I give to my clients. I strive to make sure that every time you look back at your photos you are brought back in time. Weddings are filled with a lot of emotions which can be overwhelming. With me by your side, know that you have not just found a photographer, but a friend who will walk you through this experience that you will never forget. So, if you’re ready to take this adventure with me, let’s get in touch!
